Women in Business was formed in October 2002 as a dynamic network to support the growing number of women who run their own businesses and work in existing organisations.
It was incorporated as a Ltd Company in July 2006 with an appointed Board of Directors.
Run by female entrepreneurs for women in business, the network has a large and diverse membership throughout Northern Ireland. Approx ten events are run each year, 2 newsletters and 8 ezines are circulated, and WIB host a highly interactive, up to date member focused website. All WIB activities offer a great opportunity for networking with like-minded women (approx 250), for promoting members businesses and ultimately to increase business contacts and generate new business for members.
Women In Business aims to:
Support and empower new and established women owned businesses and women in management positions, by providing information, encouragement, ideas and business connection through networking, throughout Northern Ireland.
Women in Business NI Ltd is part funded by Invest Northern Ireland and also are the promoters of the Women into Business Project which is funded through the EU, DEL , Belfast City Council and INI.
