Edel Doherty - Chair

Edel is Managing Director of Barrhead Travel NI part of the award winning Barrhead Travel Group.

Edel has worked in the Travel Industry for over 17 years gaining experience in the retail, tour operation and Business travel sectors. Having built up other sucesssful travel companies she felt it was time to take on a new challenge.

Edel became chair of WIB in March 2010 and hopes with the board and CEO to take the organisation to another level.

Christine Boyle - Previous chair

Christine is Managing Director of Lawell Asphalt Company Ltd, in the Construction sector, specializing in Roofing and Waterproofing.

After 10 years in the financial services industry Christine moved into the family business and has spent the last 10 years growing the company. Christine was a founding member of the Women in Business Network and progressed from treasurer to Chairperson in November 2005.

Alison Armstrong

Alison has over 25 years experience in financial services, and holds qualifications in Mortgage Advice and Practice, Equity Release and Commercial Loans.

Seven years ago she started, with another female partner, Mortgage and Financial Guidance, an independent mortgage and protection brokerage. Her specific remit is to develop and maintain strategic relationships with the firm's referral organisations as well as advising clients in residential and commercial funding and business solutions. She is an Accredited Trainer within the Financial Services Skills Council and works closely with both Voluntary and Private sector organisations who use the resources Mortgage and Financial Guidance has to offer.

Juliana Sloan

Founder of Ireland’s exclusively Professional Networking Consultancy - Juliana Sloan Associates.

Past Chair of both the Life Insurance Association and Personal Finance Society, 20 years experience in the precarious world of finance has given Juliana a divergent insight into many businesses.

Throughout her career, Juliana has innately practiced the Art of Connecting, gaining her exceptional links and opportunities. This idiosyncratic ability - to create and value connections for the benefit of any business or individual has led to the creation of Juliana Sloan Associates.

Roseann Kelly - CEO

Roseann has been on the Board of WIB since March 2003, her support for WIB has seen her take on roles such as Vice –Chair, Treasurer, Co-ordinator, and Company Secretary.

A seasoned marketer and consultant of long standing, the Board are very confident that in her current role as CEO of WIB, she will successfully develop and grow WIB NI Ltd.
